An unwelcome tragedy this day has struck
Shattering each and every heart in its wake
Leaving all souls feeling life is without luck
And that no more, no more do they wish to awake
But to sleep deep and undisturbed till this dream fade
Till this horrible, sickening joke should go away.
Yes sleep, but not sleep, awake, awake, awake!
Let us awaken from this nightmare now,
Let us harken from this falsehood, this lie without base
Let us no more find reason to in our shoes quake,
Yes awake, awake, we must awaken, but how?
God does not permit that it pass, He will give us the grace
To face such a dream, and dream forevermore, never awake.
