With each passing Independence day, I see more and more signs simply saying ‘happy July 4th’ and wonder with each one … are we, as the people of this nation, forgetting the meaning behind why we celebrate July 4th, or rather, why we celebrate Independence day?
The gravity behind Independence day long went over my own head, and only now, as I am reminded to read over the declaration of Independence, does it begin to sink in. But I do not write to talk in lengths on my thoughts about our Independence, only to remind you:
One this July 4th we celebrate our hard earned Independence …our right to freedom!
