Remember when I did my November bujo spread …? Well, that inspired me. I realized I could paint mushrooms, and that was enough to spark a new journal. I already had the cover, all I had to do was paint it.

the creation of Gi, the child of Chaos, and the fathering of mortal men
Out of the darkness, Chaos wove himself a daughter, and named her Gi, and she was beautiful in his eyes. Gi was not a god, for she was not made of the gods, but of the darkness, and thus she aged. Watching her grow and mature, Chaos feared, and turned on Time, begging him to reverse her growth. But Time would not, for he loved Gi, and saw she wished to continue growing. Angry with her, Chaos pulled away, taking her only friend, Time, and left her alone.

The deep, still pool
In my mind
Deep as an ocean
Seek, and find.
Into its deepness, look
And you will see
A reflection of yourself
Growing like a tree.
why don’t you feel anything anymore?
Numb fills your heart, drowns your thoughts, seeps at your soul. Your homework lays upon your desk, unfinished. Your art scatters across the floor, abandoned. Your dinner sits, untouched.
Why don’t you feel anything anymore?

The bagpipes are really quite nice,
When you stand in the back of the room,
Your face to the open doors—air cold as ice
Washes over you, mingles with sound
Your ears are ringing,
From the bagpipes so loud.
Your eyes are stinging,
from the wind so cold
But really, the bag pipes are nice,
if burst eardrums you normalize!
Magna Carta Libertatum vs. The Declaration of Indepedence
Today I am exploring the similarities and differences between The Great Charter and the American Declaration of Indepedence. Enjoy!
A quick note before we begin: my little brother has started doing this thing whereby when he sees two bugs, creatures, people, whatever, he announces grandly “X versus Y” for example “Woollybear caterpillar versus red ant!” or even “Sister (insert names here) versus cousin” and then proceeds to tell you which one would win (sister, she would flip cousin onto floor). Because of this, all the small people in my family hear the word ‘versus’ or ‘vs’ and assume we mean fighting against, so I thought I would clarify: in this context versus is best translated as “as compared to or in contrast with” and not “against.” Alright, with that out of the way, onto the essay!

Sometimes, you think the fear will drive you mad. Then you remember, it already has. The voices in your head. They are part of you, down to the bone. They have been with you since your childhood, helping you know what to say, telling you stories.

It took me a while to get around to writing this post, and I have just discovered a problem. I only took one picture of the outside of the journal, one picture of the journal wrapped up, and zero pictures of the inside. “Well, can’t you take more?” Nope. I gave the journal away months ago. So there won’t be extensive pictures this time. Hope you enjoy anyway!

My parents were out of the house for approximately 45 minutes, so, of course, I made marshmallows. It was only a few days until St. Nicholas day, and I was determined to present them with some dessert or another. Also just because there is a certain thrill which comes with trying to cook or bake something without others knowing.
December Bujo month page
As Christmas draws closer, I felt like doing a Christmas theme for my December monthly page. But hmm …how to incorporate Christmas? I considered pine trees, snowmen, etc. But nothing seemed to work. And then inspiration struck: what about ornaments? So I traced around the bottom of some supplement bottles and buttons, and started sketching.
